Notes:
To help with odors in the areas surrounding the classroom being painted, ventilation has been added. Each painting crew has two 2000 cubic feet per minute (cfm) negative air machines, and 1 500 cfm negative air machine. The larger negative air machines are placed in the hallway and place so that they pull air to the exterior of the building.
The smaller machine is for inside the classroom. While the classroom is being painted the smaller machine is set up to create negative pressure in the classroom. This helps keep any paint fumes from leaking into occupied areas.
After the painting has been completed, all the equipment is left on in the classroom so that the paint will be dried overnight.
