Speech
At the high school level, Speech will give students real life
skills that will assist them in whatever future career that they
may choose. They learn about research, making compelling arguments,
dealing with others, time limits, competition , while having fun.
There are numerous competitions throughout the year and students
have an opportunity to hone the skills learned as they compete
against others at the local, regional, state and national levels.
Middle School Speech
The purpose of middle school speech is building self esteem,
self confidence and communication skills. Speech helps students
build critical thinking speaking and listening skills. Students
experience a variety of communication and performance opportunities.
High School Speech
High school speech helps students with research, organization
and public speaking skills. Students learn to work under time
constraints and learn to stand up as individuals and to assist
others on their team as they prepare for competition.
