Texas Educator Excellence Grant, Cycle II
Fifteen campuses were selected by Texas Education Agency to receive the Texas Educator Excellence Grant (TEEG), Cycle II, based on their 2005-2006 student academic performance. They were either 1) Rated Exemplary or Recognized; or 2) Performed in the top quartile with respect to comparable improvement in math or reading or both; and 3) Had a high percentage of economically disadvantaged students. The purpose of the grant is to provide a system of financial incentives to reward educators on campuses during the 2007-2008 school year. Those receiving the incentive must demonstrate the ability to achieve higher levels of student academic performance.
