Chief Araiza has more than 21 years of Law Enforcement experience in all
facets of law enforcement. Eight years were spent with the El Paso County Sheriff's
Department as a Deputy Sheriff. Additionally, Chief Araiza has spent 13 years with the
EPISD Police Department as a Patrol Officer, Detective, School Resource Officer and
Supervisor. In 1997, he was promoted to the position of Police Sergeant responsible for
the supervision of 13 patrol officers, 4 K9 officers and 2 motor officers. Chief Araiza
currently supervises 40 Police Officers and oversees 75 Campus Patrols.
Armando Molinar retired from the El Paso Police Department in 2004.
Armando Molinar served with the El Paso Police S.W.A.T. Team as an Assistant Team Leader
for 15 years. He also served the El Paso Police Departments Gang unit & Drive-By
Shooting Review Team. He joined the El Paso ISD Police Department in 2005 and is currently
assigned as a Sergeant and Gang Officer for the EPISD PD.
Jose Garcia has
been employed with EPISD Police since June of 1999. He was with the El Paso County
Sheriff's Dept. for 9 years where he was a Deputy Sheriff. Sgt. Garcia was the first
Motorcycle Officer for EPISD. He is currently the Traffic Supervisor.
Lt. Garcia's message: "Always be respectful and work hard at whatever you do."
Angel Becerril
joined the EPISD Police Dept. on April 28, 2005, after retiring from the City Police
Dept. with 22years of service. His specialty was dealing with juvenile issues. Officer
Becerril is now presently assigned to Guillen Middle School as the school's Campus Police
Officer. He was honored with the, "Officer of the Year Award" for the 2006-07 school year.
His favorite part of police work is working with students, trying to help them by giving
sound advise and serving as a good role model. He hopes that by being a positive example
to the students, they can make wise decisions that will enable them to succeed in life.
Officer Becerril's message: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
Rudy Bonilla is a 24 year Law Enforcement Veteran. He joined the El
Paso Police Department in 1983 and retired in 2006. He is currently employed with the
El Paso Independent School District-Police Services and is assigned to Lincoln Middle
School. His favorite part of police work is advising the students of the importance of
staying in school and staying out of trouble. His favorite sport is football "GO
RAIDERS!"
Robert De La Rosa
joined the El Paso Independent School District in January 2006. He is currently assigned
to Cordova Middle School as a School Resource Officer. Officer De La Rosa was previously
employed by the El Paso Police Department where he served from 1985 until his retirement
in 2006. Officer De La Rosa worked in various capacities with the department to include
3 years with Juvenile Investigations and 3 years as an SRO. Officer De La Rosa enjoys
working with and helping the students learn about the hazards of tobacco use.
