Department Officers III

Efrain Griego currently has 21 years of Law Enforcement experience with the City Police Department and recently joined the ranks of the EPISD Police Services. His current position is working as SRO at Canyon Hills Middle School. His favorite part of the job is working with kids and educating the public and helping people in any kind of way. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and family, working on the yard, playing basketball, and working out.

Officer Griego's message: "Always do everything with good intentions and a good heart and have compassion for everyone."

Joseph Gutierrez has been working with the EPISD Police Department since March of 2007. He brings 9 years law enforcement experience plus military experience with over 10 years in the United States Marine Corp. Officer Gutierrez is currently assigned to Franklin High School.

Officer Gutierrez' message: "Don't live your life with regrets. Your actions today will effect the rest of your life!"



Jorge Hernandez is a 17 year Law Enforcement Officer and has been employed with EPISD since 1979. Officer Hernandez is currently assigned to Wiggs Middle School. His favorite part of police work is helping people, family, students, school administration and the community to maintain peace and harmony.

Officer Hernandez' message: "Help law enforcement make a difference one person at a time" and "Every decision I make today and every step I take are led by God".


Michael A. Kelly is a veteran officer with 13 years in law enforcement. Officer Kelly has been serving the El Paso ISD Police Department since 1995. Officer Kelly is currently assigned to Police Services Patrol Division.





Mary McBain has been a Police Officer for the El Paso Independent School District for 8 years. She is a Certified Dare Instructor (Drug Awareness Resistance and Education) and a Certified Great Instructor (Gang Resistance Education and Training). She has been assigned to several middle schools as a School Resource Officer and has enjoyed every minute of it.




Juan Medina has been in law enforcement for over 12 years. Officer Medina has worked with EPISD Police Department since 1998. He enjoys working with students because sometimes you do make a difference in their lives, by helping them turn their lives around, or just by offering them advise.
