Network Services

Recent Accomplishments Network Services:
- An E-rate grant worth $8.6 million has enabled the District to equip 46 campuses with new network cabling, network electronics, wireless connectivity and internet connectivity for portables. The project is scheduled for completion by October 2008.
- Deployed 1300 Wireless Access Points District wide.
- A new e-mail system will be implemented in October 2008.
Network Services
As one of three units comprising Technology Services, Network Services is charged with most items related to the infrastructure and physical layer of technology in the District. Network Services encompasses areas such as Technology Support, Information Assurance, and Network Infrastructure.
The major functions of these groups include: Onsite and remote support and repair services for all District computer and peripheral equipment, support for instructional applications and servers, email, data storage, data assurance, internet content filtering, network switching and routing, Internet access, cabled and wireless networks, network and information security, network performance monitoring and telecommunications. Our mission is to provide quality technology support and services in a timely, seamless, and efficient manner, while ensuring that technology is accessible to all EPISD students and staff.
