Post Date: 11/19/2009 - Pay Level: 404, 238 Days --- High School Diploma or GED Certificate. Valid Texas Drivers license. Certified/Licensed Irrigation Installer in the State of Texas. Knowledge of gardening and landscape maintenance. Ability to read and interpret irrigation blueprints and landscape plans. Must be able to read and understand written instructions. Ability to operate tractor and landscaping equipment, riding or power mowers, power tools, and hand tools. Must be able to perform basic arithmetic calculations and operate a computer. Five years experience in ground maintenance. Three years experience in irrigation systems installation.

Knowledge of the districts breakfast and lunch policy statement. Ability to speak, write, read and understand English; good organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. One year general clerical experience; and satisfactory completion of the school districts qualifying clerical tests (SET 60 percent or better, typing minimum of 35 wpm with no more than 5 errors, or better score).

Demonstrate ability to read, write and speak English with a written test and oral interview. Ability to manage personnel. Effective planning and organizational skills. Knowledge of methods, materials, and equipment and in food preparation. Ability to acquire Food Service Management Certificate.

IN-DISTRICT APPLICANTS: Two years experience in the EPISD Food Service Department or verifiable equivalent experience in another organization. Two semesters experience as a cook or "cook-in-training".

OUT OF DISTRICT APPLICANTS: Two years experience in a supervisory position in a food service establishment.

Sign Language Interpreter, Burges

Post Date: 03/19/2008 - Pay Level: 306, 184 Days --- The position of Education Sign Language Interpreter requires a High School diploma or GED certificate; minimum of 48 credit hours from an accredited institution of higher education or passing score on the ParaPro Assessment; Certified Sign Language Interpreter for the Deaf (Texas Certification preferred) and experience working with students and parents.
