Goal #1   Increase student performance on TAKS

  • Objective 1A:  Attain or exceed 90% on Reading/ELA TAKS - All Students
  • Objective 1B:  Attain or exceed 92% on Writing/ELA TAKS - All Students
  • Objective 1C:  Attain or exceed 91% on Social Studies/ELA TAKS - All Students
  • Objective 1D:  Attain or exceed 80% on Mathematics/ELA TAKS - All Students
  • Objective 1E:  Attain or exceed 76% on Science/ELA TAKS - All Students
  • Objective 1F:  Attain or exceed 43% of written compositions rated 3 or 4 as a College Path Early Indicator
  • Objective 1G:  Attain or exceed 36% of students scoring above 2300 Scale Score on TAKS - Math
  • Objective 1H:  Attain or exceed 42% of students scoring above 2300 Scale Score on TAKS - Reading

Goal #2   Improve Accountability Ratings of Schools (both Federal and State)

  • Objective 2A:  All EPISD schools will meet Federal AYP standards for accountability.
  • Objective 2B:  All EPISD schools will meet State standards for accountability.

Goal #3   Increase/Improve High School Performance

  • Objective 3A:  Attain or exceed 50% in Mathematics (Texas Success Initiative)
  • Objective 3B:  Attain or exceed 50% in English Language Arts (Texas Success Initiative)
  • Objective 3C:  Attain or exceed 88% on High School Completion Rate (without GED)
  • Objective 3D:  Attain or exceed 75% on High School Graduation Rate

Goal #4   Provide career awareness, exploration, and preparation opportunities including Career Education at the High School level

  • Objective 4A:  Attain or exceed 93% students graduating under the Recommended High School Program and the Distinguished Achievement Program
  • Objective 4B:  Ensure that 100% freshmen have a Personal Graduation Plan with 4 years of math and science

Goal #5   Increase college readiness and facilitate post-secondary transition at every high school

  • Objective 5A:  Attain or exceed targets for SAT/ACT Tested, At/Above Criterion, Mean SAT and SAT scores.
  • Objective 5B:  Attain or exceed targets for College-Ready Graduates
  • Objective 5C:  Increase the number of students tested in Advanced Placement/International Baccalaureate
  • Objective 5D:  Increase the percentage of student completing Advanced/Dual Credit courses
  • Objective 5E:  Increase the number of scholarships received by at least 5% per campus

Goal #6   Sustain EPISD Stakeholder advocacy and engagement by nurturing a student-centered organizational culture at the District and campus levels

  • Objective 6A:  Increase the number of parents and community members involved in District and campus activities by 3% as measured by number of Volunteers in Public Schools
  • Objective 6B:  Increase the number of parents and community members involved in District and campus activities by 3% as measured by number of Partners in Education
