Traffic rerouted near Lundy, Hornedo for construction

EPISD is building two new schools on High Ridge Street to accommodate growth in Northwest El Paso.

November 16, 2009 — EPISD News

Lundy Elementary is scheduled to open in early 2010 with the new Hornedo Middle School opening in August 2010. Both new schools are being financed through the 2007 Bond program.

As crews enter the final stages of construction on Lundy Elementary School, they have begun developing and extending High Ridge Street from Franklin Hills Street to the area where the schools are being built.

Construction crews had been accessing the construction site through the unpaved area of High Ridge.

Now through Dec. 31, that area of High Ridge will be unavailable to construction traffic as the road becomes paved. Construction traffic has been rerouted into the residential area adjacent to the property. Streets that may be affected by the new route include Ojo De Agua, Via Descanso, Via Serena, Calle Lago and Calle Lomas.

EPISD and Dantex Construction have been working with the City of El Paso Developmental Services Department on the rerouting of construction traffic into the residential area. If you have any questions or concerns, please call Dantex Construction at 584-9300.
