Board of Trustees Election

The El Paso Independent School District has called a Board of Trustees election on May 9, 2015 to fill seats in three of its seven single-member districts. Voters will select trustees in Districts 2, 6 and 7.


The candidates are:

EPISD encourages its qualified employees and residents to vote at any of the early voting sites from Monday, April 27 until Tuesday, May 5. Most early voting sites are open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Saturday, May 2, and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 3. All sites will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, May 4, and Tuesday May 5.

The early voting sites in EPISD are:

  • Chapin High School Ensemble Room, 7000 Dyer St.
  • El Paso County Courthouse third floor, 500 E. San Antonio Ave.
  • Polly Harris Senior Center, 650 Wallenberg
  • Regency El Paso, 221 Bartlett Dr.
  • Southwest University Coffee Shop, 1414 Geronimo Dr.
  • Sun Valley Center #109, 4525 Sun Valley Dr.

Mobile voting locations are also available at the following dates and locations within EPISD:

  • Tuesday, April 28: UTEP Library, 500 W. University Ave., from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Wednesday, April 29: EPCC Rio Grande Campus, 100 W. Rio Grade Ave., from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Thursday, April 30: Westside Branch Library, 125 Belvidere St; and Armijo Branch Library, 620 E. 7th St. from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Friday, May 1: Don Haskins Rec Center, 7400 High Ridge Dr., and Pat O'Rourke Rec Center, 901 N. Virginia St., from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 2: Dorris Van Doren Regional Branch Library, 551 Redd Rd, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Sunday, May 3: Westside Regional Command Center, 4801 Osborne Dr., from noon to 5 p.m.
  • Monday, May 4: El Paso Police Headquarters, 911 N. Raynor St., from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday, May 5: Memorial Park Branch Library, 3200 Copper Ave. from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Voters who don't have a chance to cast an early ballot may vote from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in their designated polling place. The following precincts are the ones within EPISD having school-board elections:

District 2

  • Precinct 76, 77 and 78: Chelsea Plaza Housing, 600 Chelsea St.
  • Precinct 79: Jefferson High School, 4700 Alameda Ave.
  • Precinct 80: Burleson Elementary School, 4400 Blanco Ave.
