I welcome every student and parent to the 2022-2023 school year with optimism and excitement. We are thrilled to have our students return and welcome those new to Tom Lea. I am looking forward to working with you and your child(ren) again this year. At Tom Lea we are committed to providing your child(ren) with rich learning experiences. I personally believe in and take pride in always doing what is best for students. I will continue to use this guiding principle when making decisions about our school. If I have not had a chance to meet our new families, feel free to stop by the office so that we can meet in person. I look forward to meeting all of you and seeing all the familiar faces of our returning families. Our slogan for this year is #climbintonewheights. Our students showed tremendous growth this year. As a campus, we will Climb to New Heights this year. Teachers worked hard this past year to close the gaps and students persevered and demonstrated resiliency. I am so proud of every student and teacher. My heart is full. We will continue to support each student academically, socially and emotionally. At Tom Lea we take pride in developing meaningful and lasting relationships with each student, parent, and community member. We believe that educating children is a team effort between school staff and families. Frequent, transparent, and open communication is a priority for us. Our teachers and staff communicate regularly with parents through ClassDojo. A bimonthly Parent Newsletter is emailed to families. Our morning announcements are streamed live each morning on YouTube. We encourage you to connect with us on one of these social media platforms. I am here to serve our community in any way possible.
