It is a privilege to serve you as the Principal of Bobby Joe Hill PK-8.

I have a Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of Missouri, a Masters in Elementary Education, and an Educational Specialist degree in Education Administration. I started my educational career as a special education paraprofessional, before being hired as a fifth-grade teacher. I taught fifth-grade for 5 years and then was hired as an Elementary Assistant Principal.  I served as an Assistant Principal for 10 years in three different Texas Districts-Copperas Cove ISD, Ysleta ISD, and El Paso ISD.

This year is my first year as a Principal and I could not be more excited to be serving the Bobby Joe Hill community. Together I know we will be able to achieve great things for our students.

It is my mission to foster academic success for the whole child, emphasizing student’s social-emotional needs, as well as their intellectual needs, through proven and innovative best practices.  I will facilitate a culture of collaboration, creativity, and perseverance among our faculty, staff, and students.  Bobby Joe Hill PK-8 is committed to providing meaningful student-centered learning experiences that develop critical thinkers, which in turn motivates a desire to learn.

I deeply value the importance of community stakeholders joining forces to ensure we keep our central focus on the child, their access to education, and the opportunity to grow, develop, and learn.
