Young Women’s STEAM Research & Preparatory Academy's Focus:
The El Paso Independent School District (EPISD) and New Tech Network (NTN) have partnered to implement this innovative program at the Young Women’s Steam Prep Academy. This is the first single-gender Academy in the District and in the New Tech Network! The Young Women's Steam Prep Academy opened it's doors in August 2017, to the first 6th and 7th grade cohorts of students.
With the support of the New Tech Network, the Young Women's Steam Prep Academy provides a STEAM-focused instructional program where students apply their learning to real-world contexts within the framework of Project/Problem-Based Learning (PBL) experiences! Student will also participate extensively in Service Learning opportunities connecting the curriculum to the world around them.
