My name is Tessie Vallez and I have been working at Tom Lea Elemantary since May of 2012.  I am a retired Army wife and currently an Airforce mom. I am originally from El Paso but while my husband was active dutly in the Army we lived here in Texas, Ft. Leaonard Wood, Missouri, Grafenwoehr and Mannheim, Germany.

My main goal as a Military Liaison is to help students and families transition into our school and the community. I am an advocate for military connected students and their families. 

I strongly encourage new families to become involved in our school and the community. I also run the VIPS (volunteers in public schools) and Military PIES (partners in education) programs. I look forward to meeting your families and working with your children.
