  • An important position in any hospital setting, CNAs have much responsibility in a health career that make them an integral part of the patient process.

    A medical biller is in charge of calculating and collecting payments for medical procedures and services. Work includes updating patient data, developing payment plans, and preparing invoices. They work in medical administrative offices to ensure hat patients are billed quickly and accurately.

    Students learn about physical fitness and the treatment and prevention of injuries related to sports and exercise. Personal training will provide the ultimate industry introduction and provide priceless experience that will set the tone for your career future. 

    Dual credit practicum course that provides expereineces as a physical therapy technician.

    LVNs observe patients, perform basic assessments, and report and document changes in a patient's condition. They also measure vital signs, perform medical treatments, and administer prescribed medication.

    Medication knowledge applicable in every medical career. Skills include compounding, insurance processing, and prescription transcribing.

    Biotechnology is used by forensic scientists to collect or process trace evidence such as hair, skin, blood, or semen samples found at crime scenes.

    This course prepares students to become eligible to take the National Entry Level Dental Assistant certification (NELDA). 

    The course prepares students for a career in out-of-hospital emergency medical care.

    A credentialed professional whose job involves helping all types of animals live healthy and happy lives. Students may test and obtain a veterinary assistant certification through the Texas Veterinary Medical Association.

    This course prepares students to become eligible to take the CMA exam. It is taken concurrently with medical administration, which will prepare students for the insurance coding specialist exam.
