At a time when few women attended college, Mrs. Lundy received her undergraduate degree in 1934 and her master's degree in 1950. This desire to be educated and educate others fueled her success in the education field. She taught for more than 46 years, primarily in the El Paso Independent School District spending time as an elementary school teacher, a high school instructor, an assistant principal and ultimately a principal.
