First Year:
GraphicDsg1 Lab - HT2C40Y2W1 or HT2C4AY2W1 / HT2C4DY2W1 - 13008810 - 2 Credit - Year-Long Course (Dual Credit)
- Careers in graphic design and illustration span all aspects of the advertising and visual communications industries. Within this context, in addition to developing knowledge and skills needed for success in the Arts, Audio/Video Technology, and Communications Career Cluster, students will be expected to develop an understanding of the industry with a focus on fundamental elements and principles of visual art and design.
GraphicDsg2 Lab - HT3C40S1 or HT3C4AS1 / HT3C4DS1 - 13008910 - 2 Credit -Semester-Long Course (Dual Credit)
- Prerequisites: Graphic Design and Illustration l. Careers in graphic design and illustration span all aspects of the advertising and visual communications industries. Within this context, in addition to developing advanced technical knowledge and skills needed for success in the Arts, Audio/Video Technology, and Communications Career Cluster, students will be expected to develop an advanced understanding of the industry with a focus on mastery of content knowledge and skills.
Dual Credit
This course offers an opportunity for Dual Credit or Articulated Credit in-conjunction with El Paso Community College (EPCC).
The Dual credit courses are:
Junior Year:
- Intro Comp Graphics [ARTC 1325]
- Graphic Illustration [ARTC 1353]
Senior Year:
- Typography [ARTC 1327]
- Digital Imaging 1 [ARTC 1302]
The Articulated course is:
Articulated courses allow a non Dual Credit student who earns an '85' or better to claim credit once they enroll at EPCC and file their degree plan in that specific field.
Certification
A student in this Program of Study may earn an industry-recognized certification.
