Degrees and Certifications:

Villagran, Elizabeth

My name is Elizabeth Villagran and I am the Art Teacher for grade levels PK-5th at MacArthur Intermediate School. I attended Bowie High School and graduated valedictorian in 2012. After completing high school, I proceeded on to the University of Texas at El Paso where I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in all levels of Art Education (K-12). During my junior year in college, I had the wonderful opportunity to study abroad in Europe for two months and was able to learn all about the Art history and architecture from Rome, Venice, Florence, Pompeii and Tuscany.  I began teaching in MacArthur Elementary in 2016 and I am beyond excited to continue to be part of such enthusiastic and supportive community. My main goal is to provide a fun, safe and engaging environment for my students where they can comfortably express themselves through their artwork. Not only do I love to teach Art, but I am also an animal lover and I enjoy painting, reading, hiking and bicycle riding in my free-time.
