My name is Maria Westcott and I have had the pleasure of teaching at MacArthur Elementary School for 19 years. A native of the El Paso area, I graduated from Gadsden High School and received my B.S. in Early Childhood/Elementary Education from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP).  Go Miners!!!

         I am married to my best friend Glenn, and I have three amazing children: Audrey, Brandon and Coco (My 17 year-old Dachshund).  I love to teach, travel, watch movies, and spend time with my family.

     As a teacher, I believe all children are capable of learning, provided they are in a safe and comfortable environment that will support their emotional, social, and academic growth.  In my classroom, I use a variety of instructional methods and many hands-on activities to help students reach their full potential.  I look forward to sharing many experiences and making wonderful memories with my students.
