  • The Affordable Care Act - ACA requires that every individual maintains minimum essential coverage for themselves and their dependents. The ACA requires employers to offer affordable minimum essential coverage that provides minimum value to our full-time employees and offer coverage to the full-time employees’ dependents.

    Beginning in 2016 for the 2015 Tax Year, the IRS required EPISDto report your coverage to the IRS, and to provide you with information about your coverage. For Tax Year 2019 EPISD will provide Form 1095-C to report it offered eligible employees affordable health coverage that provides minimum essential coverage and meets the minimum value threshold.

    TAX YEAR 2019 CHANGES

    Under the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, the amount of the individual shared responsibility payment is reduced to zero for months beginning after December 31, 2018.

    Beginning in Tax Year 2019, Form 1040 will not have the “full-year health care coverage or exempt” box and Form 8965, Health Coverage Exemptions, will no longer be used.

    EPISD WILL PROVIDE AN IRS FORM 1095 TO YOU ELECTRONICALLY

    EPISD offers employees the opportunity to receive their IRS FORM 1095 electronically. The instructions to change your IRS FORM 1095 from paper to electronic are attached. The easy to follow instructions will show you the steps you must take to make the change. If these steps are not completed you will receive a paper IRS FORM 1095 and will not have access to the electronic version.

    Electronic IRS FORM 1095 will be available on "Employee Service Center". Please click HERE to open the TEAMS Guide to help you through the process of selecting electronic or paper copy.

    Once you make your selection, you will receive an email confirmation for your records.
    Anytime during the year, you may access a copy of current year 1095 by visiting the TEAMS Employee Service Center. The forms are available under the Payroll option.
