Since 2016, El Paso ISD partnered with the Collaborative for Academic and Social Emotional Learning (CASEL) to systemically implement school-wide social-emotional learning (SEL) across the district.  

What is SEL?   It is the process through which children and adults acquire and effectively apply the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.

We value the social-emotional well-being of our students as much as we value their academic preparedness.  Time has been set aside in the daily student schedules to allow for social emotional learning.  Activities and information for students and families will be regularly posted for use in the home learning environment.
