Important Online Resources for Parents

  • EPISD@Home provides a wide variety of online learning resources for our students. Your child might be asked to access these tools as part of their regular learning day. For the most part, these tools can be accessed through the EPISD Plaza (Classlink) however, there might be issues so we are providing a list of all resources, by grade level, along with some supplemental materials for you to use with your children.

    Important links

    EPISD Plaza/Classlink

The Plaza is the “one-stop shop” for accessing most of the online resources used by students. It is also known as “Classlink.”

    Schoology

Schoology is the online classroom for most of our schools. Teachers will communicate directly with students and post and receive completed assignments using this resource. Parents will communicate with their child’s teachers and may monitor class progress using this program. If a teacher will be using a program other than Schoology, that information will be communicated to parents. This is more likely to occur at the lower grade levels.

Other ways for students to access Schoology:

Important: In order for parents to access their child’s Schoology account, they must receive the “Student Access Code” from the teacher. Once parents have access, they may view all of their child’s courses.

    Resources for Parents

There is an EPISD  Schoology Help Group for Students that have been issued a Macbook, Ask questions, get answers to technical problems you might have. This group is moderated in part by fellow EPISD students. To join the group, use the access code DHKS-F62M-WKZ5S

*The Schoology app is available for free in both the Apple App and Android Play website. Please note that the Apps do not have 100% of the functionality of full web version.

    Office 365

Families may also download the entire Office 365 Suite of tools for free for up to five household devices.

    iStation

Many of our students will be asked to complete iStation assignments. See below for information on how to install iStation and how to help your child get the iStation app.

I-Station is a program that provides computer-based assessment and instruction in reading and writing. Istation’s mission has always been to help students succeed and grow, and in uncertain times that support is even more important. As a result, we’re providing parents/guardians with tools to keep students thriving at home. We are offering a webinar for parents/guardians on getting started and understanding "Istation at Home". This webinar will provide them with a variety of useful information, such as: downloading and logging into the program, usage recommendations, understanding ISIP Progress Monitoring at Home, and accessing teacher assignments and the parent portal.

The Webinar will be offered several times, and will be recorded and sent out to all registrants, even those who cannot attend:
