• The El Paso Independent School District strongly believes in the education of the whole child. It is through this belief that athletics plays a major role in the EPISD education process. Athletic programs are an extension of the classroom, where our youth learn teamwork, sportsmanship, winning, losing and work ethics. These characteristics are the foundation for which students can build upon for future success.

Morehead follows these principals with fidelity to our feeder high school, Coronado High School. Feeding into a Division 6A high school offers our students greater exposure to high level competetion therefore it is our goal to create high performing athletes.

Morehead strives to provide quality athletic programs, they include (click on a sport for more information):

    Basketball

    Cheerleading

    Cross Country

    Football

    Soccer

    Track & Field

    Volleyball

    Wrestling

Tryouts are held throughout the year for each respective sport, click our staff page for a list of coaches and their sport.

  • Parents and Athletes:

EPISD has adopted a new athlete management system called Arbiter Athlete.

All athletes, new or returning, MUST create an account; parents MUST also create an account.

Athletes not in the system may delay their ability to tryout and therefore their ability to play.
