• I received my BA and MS from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN.  I moved to El Paso as a newlywed to stay for three months and that was over 30 years ago.  I am an adopted native of this wonderful community.  I began my teaching career preparing interactive science exhibits and teaching at a children’s science museum in Knoxville.  I am passionate about science and teaching.  I love the sense of discovery and the active/interactive learning that occurs in science.  Since I have been in El Paso, I have taught at Lincoln Middle School and Franklin High School.  I served as an Assistant Principal at Green Elementary.  I feel that my experience in all levels of education has prepared me well to serve the needs of students at Cielo Vista.   Positive school experiences and rigorous academic preparation in elementary school set the stage for each child to be college ready at graduation. I began my tenure as Principal at Cielo Vista in August, 2011.  I look forward to getting to know you and your child as we travel these wonderful times of childhood discovery and learning here at Cielo Vista Elementary.
