Irvin High School is dedicated to building relationships with our military families. Our team works hard to provide information on the unique challenges faced by military families, such as frequent moves, deployments, and transitions, and equips educators with strategies to support these students academically and emotionally. Our faculty goes through training which covers topics such as understanding the military culture, building relationships with military families, identifying and addressing the academic and social-emotional needs of military-connected students, and creating a welcoming and inclusive school environment. Our program also provides resources and tools to help our team develop policies and practices that support military-connected students. Overall, we work tirelessly to be equipped to meet the needs of military families and provide them with the best possible educational experience.
