Alex Cuellar, Trustee - District 2
Alex Cuellar is a life-long El Pasoan. He attended Hillside Elementary, MacArthur Middle School, and graduated from Burges High School. He graduated with Honors from UTEP in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Alex then attended Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, Kansas, where he was active in student life and organizations such as the Hispanic and Latino Student Law Association, where he served as President for two years. While in Topeka, Alex worked as the Executive Assistant to the Director of the Kansas Hispanic and Latino American Affairs Commission. Alex earned his Juris Doctorate in 2008 and moved back to El Paso. Alex was an adjunct professor at Park University: Ft. Bliss Campus from 2009-2013. He has worked with the County of El Paso as an Investigator with the Public Defender’s Office, an Assistant District Attorney with the DA’s Office, and currently serves as an Assistant County Attorney in the Criminal Division of the County Attorney’s Office.
Alex is married to Heather Lynn Click-Cuellar, Ph.D and they have two beautiful children.
