El Paso ISD offers a nurturing and safe environment where 3- and 4-year-old children can learn and thrive through a range of early childhood programs in 48 campuses across the district. Programming includes Monolingual (English only) and Dual Language. El Paso ISD also has Montessori Children’s House at Dr. Green Montessori and Moreno Montessori campuses.

We believe that a strong early childhood education has long term benefits for little learners. Early learning programs such as ours create a foundation in essential skills that begin with Social and Emotional Learning which includes providing support for students to self-regulate emotions, actions, and behaviors along with gaining independence. This allows our littlest learners to have the confidence to verbalize their needs and wants.

Every Pre-K class is taught by a certified teacher who has been specially trained to work with young learners. The student/teacher ratio for PreK3 is 20:2 and the student/teacher ratio for PreK4 is 22:2.Our Pre-K classes follow the Texas Prekindergarten Guidelines and use a research-based resource. Pre-K academic lessons are interwoven with purposeful play and social activities.
