Greetings Lundy Mountain Lion Community: 

This is my 28th year as an educator in El Paso ISD. I spent the first 18 years of my career as a classroom teacher and Campus Teaching Coach at Kohlberg, Tippin, and Lundy Elementary Schools.  In 2015, I became an assistant principal at Putnam Elementary School, and for the past four years, I served as principal at Rivera Elementary. 

I was part of the inaugural team of educators who opened Lundy Elementary in 2009 and was involved in the school as a teacher and CTC for 6 years. I am thrilled to return as principal to Lundy, a place that feels like home. 

As principal, my mission is to foster academic success for the whole child, emphasizing both their social-emotional and intellectual needs through proven and innovative best practices. I will promote a culture of collaboration, creativity, and perseverance among our faculty, staff, and students.  

Lundy’s theme this year is "Thrive in the Hive" --- highlighting the importance of every bee in the hive and its role as well as the power of collective effort. Just as every bee's contribution is vital to the hive, every teacher, staff member, student and parent plays a crucial role in our school community's success. Through teamwork, communication, and a shared vision, we can create a thriving, productive, and supportive environment for everyone. 

Frequent, honest, and open communication is key as we work together to develop academically competitive and college-bound students. We will communicate regularly with parents via El Paso ISD’s App using Rooms/Apptegy, email, phone, and in-person meetings. I also encourage you to follow and promote our Lundy Community on Instagram and Facebook. 

My commitment to Lundy Elementary is to provide a vibrant, successful, and nurturing place for students to learn and grow.  Education is the great equalizer and the gateway to a buzz-worthy future.  Let’s work together to inspire and empower our little bees to THRIVE in the HIVE!
