If you are a current 8th or 9th grader who wants to consider Silva Health Magnet in 2026-27, please check back in late September or speak to your counselor at your EPISD middle school.

Application Process (opens in late September for 2026-27 school year):

Applications are for current 8th and 9th graders to enter as a 9th or 10th grader. 

• In-District (EPISD) students who attended an EPISD school during 7th and 8th grade, need to complete the Silva application form.

• Out-of-District (NEW to EPISD) students, please fill out the Silva application form in late September and email the required documents to wavega@episd.org

Requirements for Acceptance

• Average of 85 or higher in core classes (English, Math, Science, and Social Studies)

• 7th grade final report card for incoming 9th grade students or 8th grade final report card for incoming 9th grade students

• 8th grade most recent report card for incoming 9th grade students - or - 9th grade most recent report card for incoming 10th grade students

• STAAR scores (approaches/meets/masters) for 7th grade for incoming 9th graders - or - STAAR scores for 8th grade for incoming 10th grade students

• 90% attendance
