Welcome to Wiggs Middle School!

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year at Wiggs Middle School! We are excited to begin another incredible year of learning, growth, and opportunity for our Wolverines.

We are super excited and incredibly proud to announce that Wiggs Middle School has been rated an A campus by the Texas Education Agency (TEA)! This tremendous achievement is a reflection of the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our students, staff, families, and entire Wiggs community. We celebrate this accomplishment together and look forward to building on this success!

At Wiggs, we are committed to creating a school community where every student feels safe, valued, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential. Our mission guides everything we do:

We consistently create a safe, student-centered community that values biliteracy, cultural responsiveness, and the whole child, empowering students to learn, grow, and become positive members of society.

Our vision is to continue the Wiggs legacy of inspiring, empowering, and supporting all students to be academically successful and resilient citizens who treat others with respect, kindness, and fairness.

Our Wiggs Wolverines are respectful, courteous, determined, and committed to their academics. They also make our school community special through their involvement in athletics, fine arts, clubs, UIL, and many other activities that bring pride and recognition to Wiggs Middle School and our community.

Opportunities to Learn, Lead, and Belong

We are proud to offer a variety of programs designed to meet the needs, interests, and talents of our students, including:

  • Connecting Languages – Dual Language Program

  • Connecting Worlds – Dual Language GT Program

  • Monolingual and Monolingual GT Programs

  • Wolverine Athletics

  • UIL

  • Student Council

  • Chess Club

  • Art Club

  • Robotics Club

  • Science Club

  • History Club

  • And many more opportunities for students to get involved!

There are so many ways for students to connect, contribute, lead, and belong at Wiggs. We encourage every student to find at least one activity, organization, or program that allows them to explore their interests, develop new skills, build relationships, and make lasting memories.

We believe a student's middle school experience is about much more than what happens inside the classroom. While academic excellence remains at the heart of what we do, we are equally committed to supporting the whole child. Our goal is to help every student discover their strengths, develop their talents, build resilience, and become a positive member of our community and society.

Our Wiggs Core Values

Our commitment to students extends beyond academics. We strive to develop young people who live out the five core values our staff identified as essential to the Wiggs experience:

INTEGRITY • EXCELLENCE • EQUITY • UNITY • DETERMINATION

The Wiggs Administration and Staff are dedicated to the success, safety, and well-being of every student. We know that our students are most successful when schools and families work together, and we look forward to building strong partnerships with our Wiggs families throughout the year.

My door is always open. I am here for our students, our families, and our staff. Together, we will continue the Wiggs legacy and make the 2026–2027 school year one to remember.
