Equity Assessment Student Survey Information
The student survey collects demographic information, including questions about identity, to help identify potential barriers to equity based on respondents' demographic characteristics. These demographic questions are a regular part of Mid-Atlantic Equity Consortium's (MAEC) equity assessment process and are designed to explore potential inequalities related to various social identities including, among others, gender identity and sexual orientation.
That said, MAEC is very mindful about how and to whom these questions are presented. These questions are optional and are only included for older students (grades 9-12). Aside from asking how students identify in the demographic responses, there are no additional questions specifically related to these characteristics.
In this process, MAEC directly receives all data. EPISD does not access, share or monitor any survey data.
*Please note that updates to the survey have been made in response to community feedback.
