Schools welcome students back for on-campus instruction
EPISD reopened its campuses for on-site instruction on Tuesday to selected students whose families opted for in-person instruction. It is the first time in more than 10 months that teachers and students shared classroom space using newly-enforced health guidelines. Welcome back!

Chavira installed as EPISD Chief of Police
Manuel Chavira was sworn in as the permanent Chief of Police for the El Paso Independent School District Police Services Department. He has served as interim chief for more than a year and has more than 30 years experience in public safety.

The EPISD Student Spotlight highlights extraordinary students from the District who are working hard to make a difference in and out of the classroom. In this edition, we speak with Austin High's Johana Lara, a Princeton-bound senior who's made the best out of the pandemic by staying on top of her studies and even teaching herself how to speak Korean.
