Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 844 distributes gifts to pre-k students at Roberts Elementary
Pre-K students at Roberts on Thursday were treated to a drive-through gift distribution courtesy of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 844, an annual tradition at the school. Holiday giveaway festivities at the school will continue on Friday when Trustee Freddy Klayel-Avalos comes to distribute 50 hams and 50 turkeys to neighborhood parents.

Lincoln student is finalist in Land Commission essay contest
Lincoln Middle School seventh-grader Stone Jessup was named a finalist for the Texas Land Commission’s 2020 Save Texas History Essay Contest for a piece he wrote on the history of of El Paso High's R.R. Jones Stadium. Congrats!

EPISD student artists craft cards of gratitude for El Paso nurses
EPISD Fine Arts in collaboration with the El Paso Chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses gathered and distributed more than 300 specially-designed thank-you cards from EPISD student artists for nurses working the COVID-19 frontlines. The association selected three winners who will receive art supplies and be featured during a County of El Paso holiday celebration on Dec. 12 at Ascarate Park.
