  • Reading is our Super Power!

Under the twinkling of lights, students showed their Reading Superpowers during Read Across the District on Wednesday, November 16th. Students gathered in hallways and learning courts to celebrate their love of reading. Some enjoyed reading their own favorite book, while others listened to stories read by students from Franklin High School. A big thank you goes out to our librarian, Ms. Silva, for organizing this wonderful event!

Team to Represent at Weather Fest

Four of our own young scientists will be representing Guerrero at the KTSM annual Weather Fest, Sunday, October 23rd. The Lightin’ Aztecs team members are Nina (3rd), Mia (4th), Dallan (4th), and David (5th). The students built their own psychrometers and used them to record the relative humidity over a span of five days. They have learned a lot about humidity and the effects it has on our everyday lives. The team will compete against other teams from area districts including EPISD, YISD, and SISD.
