Franklin senior on track to earning pilot license
Franklin High School senior Amarie Rivera decided to spend her time in COVID-related isolation in the sky, getting the training she needs to earn her pilot's license. She's well on her way of reaching her goal of getting licensed by the time she graduates high school in June.

Thank you El Paso for a great response to our student-desk surplus sale. We planned to sell 400 desks, but we sold more than 800. Thanks to awesome donations, we were able to give away the first 500 free of charge!

Families who may need a student desk can buy one for just $3 during this Saturday's student desk surplus sale at the former Alta Vista school site. The desks will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis and each family will be limited to five desks.

Lincoln cheerleaders perform random acts of kindness
To observe the anniversary of the attacks on El Paso and honor the 23 people who died, the Lincoln Middle School cheerleading squad decided to perform 23 random acts of kindness. Once they started, they couldn't stop and in the end they've done more than 400 good deeds ... and counting.
