New Teacher Academy welcomes educators to EPISD
With the theme of EPISD Rocks, more than 80 teachers new to the profession or to EPISD this week were welcomed to the District at the 2019 New Teacher Academy. Participants got trained on classroom management, procedures and even got to eat lunch with their new principals.

Lundy, Mesita students go far in National Spanish Spelling Bee
Lundy's Azul Morales and Mesita's Marium Zahra participated in the National Spanish Spelling Bee in Denver earlier this month. They reached the 13th and 11th round, respectively.

More than 170 EPISD students who finished all high-school graduation requirements over the summer received their diplomas during two ceremonies at the Bowie High School auditorium on Wednesday.

The Champions by Design Conference allows administrators to reconnect and get all necessary information and training for a great start.

A team of students from Chapin High traveled to Washington to compete in the National Technology Student Association Conference competition. They walked away with the top prize for engineering design.

EPISD students stage smash musical 'Rock of Ages'
The hit broadway show Rock of Ages is this year's EPISD Summer Musical. The shows start Wednesday and run through Saturday at the Bowie High School auditorium. Tickets available at the door.
