(CAPT. GABRIEL L. NAVARRETE MIDDLE SCHOOL – Dec. 6, 2022) – El Paso ISD named Nuri Robles as the new principal of Capt. Gabriel L. Navarrete Middle School, the 13th campus in the district’s 2016 bond program.

Robles was promoted from assistant principal of Bowie High School. During her tenure in El Paso ISD, Robles has been an English teacher, literacy coach, lead instructional coach, English facilitator and Transformation Zone fellow.

“As a proud EPISD graduate and parent, I am truly honored to be a part of the new legacy of Captain Gabriel Navarrete Middle School,” she said. “Through collaboration and community, we will build a Knight culture of learning, excellence, and success.” 

Robles earned a bachelor of arts degree in English and American literature from UTEP and a master’s degree in educational leadership from the University of Texas Permian Basin.
