EPISD has four of the five El Paso semifinalists for the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation program
(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT -- Dec. 1, 2020) — Four EPISD seniors are among the 1,609 semifinalists from across the country vying for one of 150 Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation scholarships worth $20,000.
EPISD’s announced semifinalists are:
- Dena Antowan, Coronado High
- Maria Clague, Coronado High
- Eleanor Schoenbrun, Franklin High
- Giancarlo Valenzuela, Silva Health Magnet
Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation announced that just five El Paso students had made the semifinalists cut for the prestigious scholarship program – four of them in EPISD.
The seniors, who were selected among nearly 100,000 applicants, are currently submitting their semifinalist applications to be reviewed by Coca-Cola’s Program Reading Committee.
After this review, 250 will advance as Regional Finalists, with 150 becoming Coca-Cola Scholars and receiving a $20,000 college scholarship.
