EPISD Education Foundation and partners award $95k in scholarships to Class of 2022
(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT – June 29, 2022) – The EPISD Education Foundation and its partner funders awarded nearly $95,000 in scholarships this spring to 89 deserving seniors.
Representatives from the Foundation surprised students at their campuses in May and June with news of their scholarship awards. The scholarships were made possible through the generosity of EPISD employees, partner funders and donors including: El Paso Electric, Las Palmas Del Sol Healthcare, Year Out Energy, Texas Life Insurance Company, Cigna, First Financial Group of America, Varitec Solutions, Mounce Green Myers, Jacobs Engineering, Hilltop Securities, Hellas Construction, Parkhill, Piper Sandler, ERO, Banes, WellMed, HB Construction, PC Automated Controls, Sherman Williams, State Farm, Teachers Federal Credit Union, the Marines, Aztec Contractors and Grand Canyon University.
“We are grateful for the commitment and contribution of our sponsors who are making scholarships possible for the Class of 2022,” said foundation Board president Russell Wiggs. “Through our scholarships, we hope to encourage and support students to pursue higher education.”
