New Year Message from Superintendent Diana Sayavedra
Dear EPISD Family,
I hope the winter break was safe and relaxing and that you’re ready to take on the challenge of finishing the 2021-22 school year strong. Classes for students resume on Tuesday, Jan. 4 and employees return to work on Monday, Jan. 3. I look forward to seeing you!
As you know, our community and the rest of the country is being impacted by a surge in COVID infections. The District has met with health authorities to receive the latest updates on the conditions in our region and we will continue to review CDC guidelines and work with experts to enforce best practices that create the safest learning and work environments possible.
To help mitigate the spread of the virus, we remind all to follow the advice of health experts, which include:
- Get the COVID vaccine and booster, if eligible.
- Wear a face mask while in public spaces.
- Wash your hands often.
- Monitor your health and stay home if you feel sick.
Thank you for your continued partnership. Together we can keep our families safe and healthy.
On behalf of the El Paso ISD Board of Trustees, we wish all a safe and Happy New Year! See you next week!
Diana Sayavedra
Superintendent
