Schoology can help parents stay on top of grades, assignments and more
(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT -- Feb. 5, 2018) — Schoology, the easy-to-use online program that has helped EPISD students and teachers manage lessons, assignments and grades since the start of the school year, is now available for parents.
Parents can now create Schoology accounts to review their child’s grades, assignment history and even interact with teachers. The platform also shares with parents information like project deadlines and a calendar of events.
“In short, Schoology makes it easier for parents, students and teachers to access learning materials, receive updates and communicate with one another any time, anywhere in a safe and secure environment,” said Tim Holt, EPISD’s Director of Technology Innovation and Pilot Programs.
Since the fall, EPISD students have used Schoology to digitally submit homework, take tests, view their grades, participate in interactive discussions and receive feedback from teachers. All these features, and more, are now available for parents.
Holt said the District is in the process of developing online courses for parents that will be accessible through Schoology. Those courses will cover a wide variety of topics and subjects in both English and Spanish.
Parents can begin using Schoology today. In order for Parents/Gaurdians to access the EPISD Schoology system they must first follow a two-step process:
- Retrieve their child’s unique Schoology code from the EPISD Parent Portal; and
- Create a Schoology account.
We value your participation in your child’s education, and we encourage you to read Schoology’s Privacy Policy & Terms of Use.
You can find information with instructions on how to create, log into, and use your unique EPISD Schoology account by clicking this link.
