Austin High School graduates nearly 300 Panthers
(AUSTIN HIGH SCHOOL -- May 24, 2019) — A spirited and energetic group of nearly 300 Panthers received their diploma at the Don Haskins Center on Friday afternoon and became official graduates of Stephen F. Austin High School.
The Austin Class of 2019 celebrated four years of excellence that included academic accolades, athletic championships and fine-arts achievements.
Chiefly, though, the students celebrated the history and legacy of the historic school, which opened in 1930.
“Austin will always be home,” said graduate Ethan Villa, who was named All Austin Boy.
The valedictorian for the class is Casey Kerr and the salutatorian is Alexandria Gardea. The Class of 2019 has earned $3 million in scholarships and grants for college and post-secondary education.
