(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT May 10, 2021) — Andress High School’s beautiful new Student Quad was the site of the return of student performance in EPISD last week.

Although student musicians did not have a chance to have a concert season this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic, EPISD Fine Arts did create an opportunity for students to perform via the EPISD High School Community Band that met for weeks at Andress to play, rehearse and eventually put together an outdoor concert.

That concert happened last week to the delight of parents and music lovers.

Students from throughout the District performed in a manner that is safe and met the health guidelines the District has used since the pandemic started.

The Community Band and the Irvin High School Jazz Band played music like “Chanteys,” “America the Beautiful” and “Imaginarium.”

Thanks for keeping the music going strong!
