(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT – Jan. 27, 2023) – El Paso ISD named Wanda Johnson as principal of the new Coach Wally Hartley PK-8, the 2016 Bond consolidation of Ross Middle School and Hughey Elementary School, which will open in the fall. 

Johnson has been the principal at Ross Middle School since 2021. Prior to her stint at Ross, Johnson was principal at Milam and Travis elementary schools, and an assistant principal at Crosby Elementary School.

The veteran principal serves on the Superintendent’s Advisory Team and is an EPISD Master Principal, who provides training, mentorship and leadership to new principals.
