(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT -- Sept. 23, 2021) — EPISD students will go on intersession and fall break Oct. 4-15. Classes for all students will resume on Monday, Oct. 18.
Teachers and campus faculty will have staff development on Oct. 4 and 5.
On Oct. 6-8, the District will offer high-impact tutoring to students who were determined to have been impacted by the pandemic-related school closures. Qualifying students have been identified by their school and invited to attend.
Characteristics of high-impact tutoring include:
- Well-trained, consistent tutors who build strong relationships with students.
- High-quality instructional materials aligned to standards and core classwork.
- One-to-one or small-group support.
- Data-driven, aligned formative assessments, with tutors building sessions around student strengths and needs.
If you have any questions about high-impact tutoring, please contact your child’s school.
All students will be on fall break from Oct. 11-15.
Have a safe intersession and fall break, EPISD. See you on Oct. 18!
