Join Newman in congratulaing Dr. Jeanette Escobar on being elected to the Science Teachers Association of Texas Executive Committee. Newman has the great honor to have Dr. Escobar teaching our 5th Grade Science students!
Dr. Escobar is an amazing educator and student motivator with over 14 years of experience teaching science to students and teachers. Dr. Escobar has an extensive educational background including a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Political Science, master’s in Educational Psychology and Technology, master’s in Education Administration and Principal Licensure, Master Teacher Certification, and a doctorate in Educational Leadership.
She has held numerous positions at Newman from classroom teacher and science lab instructor to being a science coach for our faculty. We are not the only ones fortunate to have her share her knowledge with us! She also works at the university level with undergrad and graduate students. Dr. Escobar has participated in the UTEP STEM NASA program for three years and the Science Network Collaborative for more than eight years.
We are honored to have her at Newman and are thankful for her dedication to science education, our students and faculty!
