Field Day lets Special Ed students enjoy the sun
(EL PASO HIGH SCHOOL -- April 3, 2019) — Special-education students from Austin, Chapin, El Paso and Irvin high schools gathered here this weekend for a day of fun in the sun, all courtesy of a leadership program organized by fast-food chain restaurant.
Thanks to a grant from Chic-Fil-A and their Leadership Academy, the students at El Paso High were able to put together the “Each Person Matters” Field Day last Saturday.
Students, including cheerleaders and mascots, welcomed the students and guided them through many fun activities like obstacle courses, water balloon stations, football games and soccer tricks.
The special-education students who participated were part of EPISD’s community readiness class.
