Immunize El Paso offers $10 vaccines for students
(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT -- July 14, 2020) — Immunize El Paso is urging parents to stay on schedule with the state-required vaccines regardless if their child will be learning remotely this fall.
Immunize El Paso is offering clinics from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 20-24 at YISD’s Central Office in the atrium, 9600 Sims, for children up to age 18. Immunize El Paso also has two locations available to access vaccines: Eastside Clinic at 1580 George Dieter, Ste. 103; or the San Juan Clinic at 6292 Trowbridge.
Pediatricians and other health experts maintain that these vaccines remain critical – especially during a pandemic – and required regardless of how students are taking classes in person or not this fall.
“Skipping vaccines during this pandemic could put children at risk for other vaccine preventable diseases such as measles, chicken pox and whooping cough – influenza, too,” said pediatrician Dr. Marcella Frausto. “It is essential for parents to continue to maintain vaccines and wellness check-ups during at this critical time.”
Immunize El Paso clinics at YISD will offer all required and optional immunizations for children up to 18. See chart for details of immunizations required by grade level.
“By collaborating with other agencies, we can deliver innovative solutions, ensuring children are safe, vaccinated, and ready for the upcoming school year – be it in a traditional or distance learning environment,” said Danny Acosta, director of Immunize El Paso.
Clinic details:

- Cost is $10 per child regardless of how many vaccines needed.
