EPISD’s free Summer Meal Program starts Monday
(EL PASO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT -- June 16, 2021) — Free breakfast and lunch will be available to children ages 1 to 18 at several EPISD campuses during the summer break thanks to the Summer Food Service Program.
The meals are provided without charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability. The District does not discriminate while providing meals in the course of meal service.
Curbside meal distribution will be provided at 33 EPISD campuses from June 21 through July 23. All curbside meals (breakfast and lunch) will be distributed from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Mondays through Fridays. Friday’s distribution includes meals for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The meals will be distributed at the following schools:

Please note that a special July 5 meal schedule will be posted the week prior to distribution.
The weekly curbside menu is advertised on the EPISD Food & Nutrition Services website and social media channels, as well as in a weekly text messages and emails sent to parents.
Meals will be provided for any child ages 1 to 18, and the child need not be a student in EPISD. Children need not be present to receive the meals. However, parents or guardians must present one of the following documents for verification:
- Official document from any school to demonstrate enrollment
- Report card
- Birth Certificate
- Student ID card
Parents who pick up meals for their children will be given a verification card at the curbside and they will be required to pick up all meals at that campus from then on.
The free meal program is extended to all EPISD summer school students who attend in-person instruction. Students on campus will receive free breakfast and free lunch either in the classroom or as a grab-and-go option.
To file a program complaint of discrimination, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, (AD-3027) found online at: https://www.usda.gov/oascr/how-to-file-a-program-discrimination-complaint, and at any USDA office, or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form.
