Hugh O'Brien Leadership Award Applications Open

Hugh O'Brien (HOBY) State Leadership Seminars are for sophomore students who want to develop their leadership talents and become stronger leaders in their communities.  Through engaging and intereactive spekers, workshops, fun activities, and discussions, HOBY's dynamic 3-4 day leadership training explores leadership from three persepctives: personal, group, and societal.


If you are interested in participating in this year's conference, please submit a 250 word essay discussion how you would benefit from this conference and how you would put into practice what you have learned after attending the conference. (Conference dates are May 17-19, 2019)


Please email Guidance Counselor Ms. Sonia Esquivel at by December 1, 2018.  

In your email, please include your full name, student ID number, you preferred email (outside of school), and your T-shirt size.  Remember to attach your essay to the email as well.

Selected sophomores will be contacted before the semester break, after the committee reviews the essays.

DEADLINE for your submission is December 1, 2018.
